Dr. Olabisi Ogunbase

QI Lead/Mentor, Lagos State Health Service Commission, Nigeria.

Dr Olabisi Ogunbase is the Lead Quality Mentor at the Health Service Commission, Lagos, where she is responsible for inspiring QI teams and coordinating QI programs for the states 29 secondary level public health hospitals.

She is a senior paediatrician and the Director of Clinical Services and Training at the Maternal and Child Centre, Eti-Osa, Lagos.

She is also a senior member of Infection Prevention and Control Review Committee at the States Ministry of Health.

She has completed various online postgraduate programs from Harvard, John Hopkins and Boston University Schools of Medicine and also the University of Washington.

She is an active member of the Society for Quality in Healthcare in Nigeria (SQHN) and has obtained its Certificate in Quality and Patient Safety (CQPS).

Presently, she is a member of the WHO Global Patient Safety Network and serves as a member of the steering and the expert committees of the World Patient Safety Day Group where she has contributed in various meetings and document formulations.
She had the priviledged opportunity in September 2023, to be invited to give a presentation at the 1st Global World Patient Safety Day Conference, at the WHO HQ in Geneva, Switzerland.

Her projects have been accepted for poster presentations for the annual conferences of ISQua and The International Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare.
