As the Executive Director and Founder of the Quality Healthcare Awards and Quality Healthcare Kenyan Awards (QHKA), Grace leads health systems strengthening interventions to elevate health service delivery standards. Through the QHKA, she inspires excellence and fosters innovation within the health sector.
Grace is at the forefront of collaborations with key stakeholders, driving diverse health system-strengthening initiatives. She is also the founder of the Patient Voice Initiative, a digital platform that amplifies the voices of healthcare users. This initiative empowers patients to provide valuable feedback that informs decision-making, encourages policy change, and fosters continuous improvement for enhanced and sustained health outcomes.

Elom is an accomplished Organization Development and Healthcare Quality & Patient Safety Consultant having worked with UNDP, WHO, UNICEF, PEPFAR/USAID and GIZ undertaking research, supporting the development of national quality policies and strategies, facilitating the establishment of quality governance systems across all levels of the health sector and building capacity of national and sub-national quality leads/teams to institutionalise the culture and practice of quality and patient safety across the continent. He has also worked extensively across all the levels of care in the health sector of Ghana including leading the Quality Improvement & Patient Safety program in the largest teaching hospital. He mentors many budding quality and patient safety professionals across the continent.
He is a member of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Technical Committee 304 (TC-304) Healthcare Organization Management and the WHO Global Learning Laboratory on Quality of Care and Universal Health Coverage.

Having qualified as a registered nurse in Cape Town, she went on to specialise in Cardio-Thoracic nursing in London. She ran the Heart Transplant Unit at Harefield Hospital, Middlesex for five years. From there she moved into a variety of managerial roles in quality, capital and service planning in the National Health Service.
In 2005 Jacqui returned to South Africa and joined COHSASA as Chief Operations Manager.
She was appointed CEO in 2016. She has experience in quality improvement, standards, external evaluation and accreditation. As COHSASA works in low- and middle-income countries there is a strong focus on capacity building and quality improvement in all the programmes.
Jacqui has a Master of Professional Studies, in Health from Middlesex University, London. She was a member of the South African National Lancet Commission on High-Quality Health Systems. In 2019 Jacqui was elected to the International Academy of Quality & Safety in Health Care (IAQS). She is an ISQua Expert and serves on the Accreditation Council of the ISQua External Evaluation Association. She served on the ISQua Board from 2017 to 2020.
She is passionate about building capacity to improve care for patients and make healthcare safer for staff and patients.

These healthcare heroes are the driving force behind transformative QI initiatives that are revolutionizing the healthcare landscape.
At the heart of the webinar, a gathering of 100 dedicated attendees gathered to learn, share and celebrate. These individuals committed to improving healthcare, attentively participated throughout the event. The webinar offered a unique opportunity for the winners to share their inspirational stories with the world, shedding light on the profound impact of QI efforts in healthcare.
